Over the past couple of days, the guys held their last couple events for “Be Mine”: the 26th in Tokyo, 27th in Osaka, and 30th in Fukuoka. During the event, the guys took the stage and performed “Be Mine”, which sold over 50,000 copies, as well as “Julia” and “BTD”.
INFINITE’s “Be Mine” had even claimed the #2 spot on the Oricon Weekly Chart taking them by surprise. Woohyun commented “We heard the news on the plan and we were extremely shocked.”
Sunggyu added “We could hardly believe it, we are so excited. This is all thanks to our fans. We will return the favor with an awesome performance.”
Additionally, Sunggyu also turned 24 on April 28th so they held a surprise birthday party for him during the Tokyo event. “I had no idea a celebration would take place. Thank you so much,” he said. “I want to be able to release a new album in both Korea and Japan this year. …We will continue to work hard and develop.”
At the end of the event, the guys ended up being called back on stage in Tokyo after the applause from the fans refused to die down and INFINITE ended up performing “Paradise” for their Tokyo INSPIRITs.
Now that things have finally wrapped up in Japan, the guys will be working towards their Korean comeback which is set for May and now that it is officially May in Korea, their official website has started teasing with a new logo, which looks cool in the calligraphy-style.
