With “I Am” coming up, many SM Entertainment artists have opened up a bit more about their happiest and saddest moments. Now, some artists have stated that they once regretted joining the company.

On the 30th of April, SM Entertainment ended the month off with a bang by holding a showcase for their new film, “I Am”, and current artists under the company, Sulli, Krystal and Hyoyeon, as well as Kangta drew attention for saying that they regretted joining SM many times.

“I lived in a dorm since I was in the fifth grade,” young Sulli stated. “I wanted to go home and I wanted to see my mom. My house was in Busan, and I was so upset that I could not go visit often.”

Fellow f(x) member Krystal also said, “I was so frustrated that we had to live and stay at the company every day.”

Even SNSD’s Hyoyeon explained, “I had to commute 3-4 hours, and it was hard on me at such a young age.”

Kangta, former H.O.T member who now happens to be a director at SM Entertainment, also stated that he regretted being in the company during his trainee days since times were extremely difficult and tiring. “We ordered Chinese noodles every other day, and we ate sausages as meals.” He also revealed that Tony was reprimanded for two entire days due to his ordering of japchae, a popular Korean dish of sweet potato noodles.

For more exciting, interesting and unexpected comments, catch the movie on the 10th of May!

i am sad for them :(

wow such harsh time of their lives considering their young age...i’m scared of becoming an idol now xP

so sad ....maybe all stars might having the same situation too!

OMO wow even I would have said this if i really had a hard and bad time...but anyways even though in their hardships they still survived and stayed strong

Omgosh! That’s harsh! D:

Awwwwww <///3 :(

Trainees days are the most difficult times of becoming an idol… That’s just an obstacle that they needed to overcome and with their mind set, I’m grateful that they didn’t give up… Oppas and Unnis Fighting :]

The trainee days are tiring for sure! I m sure if it was me I would have gave up! I m glad they didn’t though

hmmm… that’s sad! That time they are still young

this is some sad stuff...did anyone else read about Key;s story....poor baby he was depressed during predebut… <3 they have all come a long way and should all be so so so proud of themselves <3
SM idols are some strong people!!!
SHINee, TVXQ, BoA, the Grace, suju, SNSD, F(x), EXO, Kangta and all the other artists… fighting!!!!!

KPOP idols, even though some people say they’re just pretty faces, are actually pretty tough. It’s not a lifestyle everyone would choose

lol Tony was repimanded. I hope they changed their mind

Wonder how does it feel though if i were to face it hmm :(

whether they regret or not, being in the SM entertainment is such a RARE privelege that anyyone can have.. smile

I can only imagine what the idols had to go through in order to be where they are now T_T

i’m wondering the same thing as mari_mrbs :/

ah.. but i guess since they chose the business and this company, it’s hard to go back XP

but at the same they might even enjoy that they didn’t really leave in the past.. but eh, who knows.. we only know what they/their company/tv tells us about their feelings :/

ah this makes me think of my boys & fellow cassies</3

this is kinda the reason I want to be a kpop star its a lot of hard work but the results are your dreams coming true…

I wonder if some of them don’t regret nowadays…

Yeah, The bad part about joining a company:I
I’m happy they stuck through it because now I can fan over them <3
