Orange Caramel was After School’s first subunit group and debuted back in June 2010 with Magic Girl. Keeping with their cute and innocent concept, the girls released quite a few catchy songs and will now be promoting overseas, starting with Japan.
The group had been formed as a worldwide project, aimed to feature different Asian cultures. Their Japanese debut song will be out in August and will continue with their cute innocent concepts.
A Pledis representative stated, “Since there was no K-pop group who wears vivid costumes and big ribbons to give bubbly performance, the group is drawing a lot of attention in Japan. The group will have a lot of presence as a unique girl group.”
I will be a little surprised if they’re not that popular in Japan because you know, Japan loves its cute frilly ribbons and kawaii concepts.
