Among our beloved world of KPOP, there is a certain group of what ignorant people would refer to as “girlie guys”. But what we call them, are “male divas”, and we completely adore them as much as we love Sungmin’s super duper aegyo, as much as we love Kyuhyun’s evilness, or as much as we love Chocoball’s craziness. (hey, a reference to our adorable Heechul whom we miss so much).

I’m a hardcore ELF, if you haven’t realized.

But as I was saying, there is a distinct group of male idols that when they show their true self, don’t really blend in with the other beastly or cute idols. They are gorgeous as heck, and man they’ve got that attitude that perhaps even Lee Hyori can’t stand.

And here goes the list.

1. Infinite’s Sungjong

The maknae of Infinite is beautiful, skinny, adorable, and has just about every quality needed to be a girl - a gorgeous one. He has danced to various girl group dances, and totally pulled all of them off with his sharp moves, slim body, and pretty face. Check it out yourself with a bonus of adorable Dongho and bulky Dongjun.

2. Brian Joo

Oh man, this is a true diva from the heart. He doesn’t even need to rely on girl group dances to show off his divaness, because it’s so overloaded. With that accent, that attitude, and that facial expression of his, even G.NA can’t beat his diva-ness.

3. U-KISS’s Kevin

And yet another born-with-the-wrong-gender idol. His voice is higher-pitched, his body is slimmer than a lot of female idols out there, his face is gorgeous as hell, his aegyo is overwhelmingly awesome. He legitimately looks like a gorgeous anime/manga character that walked right out of the book/movie.

4. SHINee’s Key

The SHINee representative, who not only is a living dictionary of girl group dances, but has an extremely unique and amusing fashion sense that only Kim Keybum can pull off himself. For Key, epicly dancing to girl group songs is just the basics, painting the rainbows on his hair is what totally made him over-qualify for the group.

5. ZE:A’s Heechul

Our mini diva here can sometimes be a little shy compared to the others, but his diva potential is totally not to be missed out on. Along with his partner Kwanghee, the two make an ultimate KwangChul diva combo that we totally adore.

6. Super Junior’s Heechul

I know, I know. Whatever I am going to say next is probably extra because we all know about the crazily girl-group-dance-obsessed Chocoball leader that always manages to bring a huge laugh to the audience during his diva moments. From the original BABO HeeSica, to the recent Lady Hee Hee, Heenim has never failed to amaze us with his talent not only as a variety-dol, but an awesome cross-dresser as well.

7. 2AM’s Jo Kwon

Do I even need to start? He’s like, the GODDESS OF DIVASSSS. Not only can his usual heart-warming voice change into a girly (but still attractive…like how the hell does he do that!?), sweet voice, but his body can also dance like an eel. We all know he can kkap dance really well, but this is a whole new level of diva-kkap.

So yeah, that’s the list of male divas that just bring kpop to a whole new level of awesomeness (because when North Americans do it, they automatically become ‘gay’ *sigh*).
