Back in 2011, TAKEN made their debut with “Only One” and 6 members, but after several members left, new members were added and a new agency, the group is ready to re-debut, but as A-PRINCE.

The group, which originally started with 6 members, lost 3 of its members between January and March of this year. As a result, Siyoon, Seungjun, and Taehyuk were joined by Sungwon and Minhyuk to form the new group. Additionally, the group was also taken in by a new agency, New Planet Entertainment.

As for the group name, the reason for the change is because there is a copyright on the name “TAKEN”, so they asked fans to rename the group and their final choice was A-PRINCE. The group left the following message on their facebook page:

TAKEN is gone, but it’s a new start of members, A-PRINCE.
A-PRINCE and NEW PLANET still love you and thank you.
A-PRINCE, it’s created by your love and attention and beautiful mind.

A-PRINCE will be returning this summer with a new release in July.

I think the name is cute. Although…now they’re going to have to change the name of their facebook page…hehe. What do you think of their new name?

I keep forgetting that kpop isn’t entirely comprised of the Hallyu groups. I sincerely wish them the best of luck! And hey with A-Prince it wouldn’t be hard to figure out the fangroup will probably be called ‘princesses’ ;D

It’s a cute name but what about fan boys lol I don’t think they’d want to be called “princess”

lol it’s be a hilarious moment though.
