That’s right, Kiss Day, which falls on June 14th every year, is coming up soon! Which begs the question… What is Kiss Day?

In South Korea, the 14th of every month is a love-related holiday. For example, Valentine’s Day is on February 14th, the same day it’s celebrated in most other countries. In June, Kiss Day is celebrated! Couples kiss to confirm their love for each other. Romantic, huh?

Of course, companies always take advantage of special days to promote their products and commercialize the holiday. Last year, cosmetic brand Missha offered a buy-one-get-one-free lipstick promotion all day, and the River Park at Walkerhill Hotel hosted a kissing event in its outdoor pool!

In 2011, a survey at the online music website Bugs Music showed that IU was voted the female artist with the most kissable lips. And in the same year, B2ST’s Yoseob tweeted “It’s Kiss Day? Yoseob is cranky. ChuChuChuChuChu!

What do you think of this holiday?
