On a recent airing of Music Core, Wonder Girl’s Sohee wore tattoo-printed stockings. If she were an American popstar, this would’ve been just another day in the world of…leg stockings and other tattoo printed garments. Unfortunately, Korean netizens were so fooled by the illusion of Sohee’s stockings that they inspired a JYP representative to clarify that Sohee did not tattoo her legs. Sad, but true.
One of the reasons for this mini kerfuffle is due largely to the fact that you just can’t find tattoo printed stockings in Korea. If you’re a woman with a tattoo in Korea, old people frown at you. They usually associate tattoos with prostitutes and gangs.
True story: I have a Korean friend who thought it’d be novel idea to get herself a tramp-stamp tattoo (because you can in America). For her it was a liberating experience. Luckily, I don’t get to see that part of her body much…
…that is until one time we both went to a Korean public bath house (in Korea). There wasn’t a place in that bath house that we couldn’t be peacefully naked in without someone giving her tramp stamp an evil eye.
With that said, anyone have any tattoos? Anyone aspiring to get any tattoos?

This is one of those culture things where I don’t feel like I have a right to criticize it without getting into the nasty culture wars. But I do find it super weird that netizens actually take the time to look and criticize stockings of all things. But I guess I shouldn’t be to surprised -___-
I personally think tattoos should mean something - if you are going to permanently imprint something on your skin, I feel like it should be something you can look at and be proud of/like even when you are turning 70. But I know that a lot of people do it just for fun, and I can’t criticize them for it lol

That’s messed up. People are crazy and i’ve seen worse on Kpop stars.
It doesn’t look real. I’m not planning to get any tattoos. If I do, it will be probably be on my back or wrist.

I think it depends on what kind of tattoo it is, before you can judge it, I know a girl who had a little dog paw on her arm in memory of her dog that she lost!

omo… why did she decided to have tattoos??…
...They’re not tattoos, just tattoo printed stockings that make her legs look like she’s got tattoos.

Some stockings those are o-o
Not planning to get tattoos at all. Ever.
There’s these girls who got tattoos of EXO printed on their hands/arms. That’s pretty amusing, isn’t it?
I sure hope they stay as an EXOTIC forever or it’ll be somewhat of a pain to have it removed.
