A recent trip to Denny’s in Korea resulted in a series of offensive tweets from actress Lee Chae Young. The tweets which are now deleted, read: “I went to grab a meal at the nearby Denny’s, but while waiting at the restaurant, I was met with a pink light of fear. They came out looking a lot skinnier in this photo. This is for real. Should I not eat and just leave?”

If that wasn’t enough, she went on and tweeted:

“This makes me want to lose 10 kg as soon as I arrive in Seoul. I’m sorry for secretly taking the photo without permission, but thank you for motivating me.”

How messed up of a body image do you have to have to even bother to make those tweets? How shallow do you have to be? And if it’s not Chae Young writing her tweets, (because not every celeb writes their own tweets) they should get fired, stat.

Of course she apologized, but the apology is very fake sounding:

“I’m sorry. My heart feels heavy knowing that I have disappointed many for my careless remark. I will take the time to reflect on my actions. I sincerely apologize.”

Apology, not accepted.

I hope those women in the photo never come across those tweets.

Haha, she sounds insane to me now. I mean, which person would wanna lose 10 kg, because they saw someone else fatter than them? And anyways. That was really rude. Even with the apology, I just lost a lot of respect for her. I mean, now I know how she thinks. It’s not like that’s gonna change, she’s probably just gonna stop posting pictures of overweight people online. 


That’s just rude and really disgusting to know that’s how she thinks! I’m really disappointed!

I agree - the apology sounds very fake. I don’t care what her opinion is, I really don’t. However, it is just super dumb on her part to post these pictures up. It was rude, insensitive and seriously what the hell did she think her fans were going to say? “you’re totally right”? Her fans are normal people to and they could have been struggling with weight issues too and I feel bad that their role model turned on them like this.

Whatever her opinion was, posting it up like this was just completely idiotic. 


I kinda understand her saying this. But tweeting it to the public is just inconsiderate. Hmm


That’s messed up. Some things are better left unsaid. :S


that wasn’t nice thing for her to tweet ~ and I don’t think the apology can make it for what she did ~ it must have hurt lots of people ~ and yea i wish they wouldn’t see this photo .. but shouldn’t we stop spreading it and not make it easier for them to see it ? ! 


That’s not nice. She should’ve kept to herself instead of announcing it to everyone.

There was really no need for Chae Young to be so disrespectful, it’s not like the poor lady in the photo provoked her or anything… how uncalled for.

What was she thinking? That’s just really nasty - and the apology doesn’t change anything. Especially as a popular person, she has to think bevor speaking.
On one hand I hope those girls/woman will never see this, but on the other I hope the do and sue her for violation of their personal rights! ò____ó


well that’s rude!!  geez...what an absolutely awful thing to say or write!
