If you’ve been wondering if Shinhwa’s Junjin will be renewing his contract with Open World Entertainment, the answer is…no, he has decided to look for a new agency.

Junjin’s contract expired back on May 24th and on June 26th, a Shinhwa representative explained that he has terminated the contract. Junjin has been with Open World Entertainment since 2008, but after the recent scandal involving the Open World Entertainment CEO many were wondering if he would renew his contract.

As for which agency he will be signing with next, a representative commented, “He hasn’t decided on a final agency yet. I believe he wants to search for one that will help him expand his career as an actor.”

Some are wondering if he will be signing to an agency with the other Shinhwa members, such as Top Class Entertainment with Eric or Live Works Company with Dongwan and Hyesung, but only time will tell.

I always thought Shinhwa was a group under the same agency. Whoops! Anyway, I’m glad he’s going to a better company now. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Open World and I bet a lot of other people have too.


I’m glad Junjin is out of that place, I really would have been surprised if he stayed. I actually thought that Shinhwa had their own agency owned and operated by them! :O


I was like, “Finally!” when I heard the news. Really hope that Jun Jin goes to a great entertainment.
