Can you read what the poster says? They suggest squinting your eyes to read the message, which makes it easier to understand why this advertisement was accused of racism.

A Ukrainian travel agency, Multipass, wanted to promote travel to Asia through their service, but it seems they were a bit too… creative.

Created by Kiev ad agency Tabasco, the poster reads “See Asia like Asians do” in capital letters. By the way, the message can also be read if you step back a few feet; you don’t necessarily have to squint your eyes to read it.

It is offensive, but whether it’s racist or not, I found this picture of people trying to read the poster extremely amusing.

Whoever fuckin’ made that stupid ad should take it down. It’s OBVIOUSLY racist and not funny at all. Not all Asians are chinky with small eyes, and even if they are why would it matter. It’s just a physical feature. It’s like calling someone fat and making fun of them. It AIN’T funny at all! I’m Asian and I don’t have small squinty eyes, so it’s just fuckin’ stupid. This ad is an example of saying how Caucasians have freckles, Africans have big butts, and how Middle-Easterns are terrorists.

it was definitely creative though..mm..idk. I live in America where people grow up with these stereotypes. It’s been embedded in the culture..so i dont really find this offensive anymore. But it obviously offended some people. Mmm..depends I guess.
