A lot of groups are making comebacks this year and it seems like most of them have happened in the last month. But have any of them been surprisingly good? Well, here are 5 of the most shocking comebacks of this year so far.

Dalmatian - “E.R.”

After being out of the music scene for one and a half years, it’s only natural that your expectations for Dalmatian’s comeback would be high, right? But who would have guessed that they would go above and beyond with “E.R.” Even though the album and MV are different from what we were all use to from them, what shocked most fans was their drastic physical appearance. Each member came back with MUSCLES! And a lot of them. Let’s not forget the new hottie Simon and Young Won’s long hair.

Shinhwa - “Venus”

Thanks to a four year hiatus and all of the members fulfilling their two year military requirement, there wasn’t a whole lot of news about Shinhwa. Until they came back with their 10th album, The Return, and “Venus” promotions. Now, I’m gonna be really honest and say that I’ve never been a fan of Shinhwa. But after seeing there live performance of “Venus,” it’s pretty safe to say my mind has been changed. And you’d probably agree after seeing their comeback stage.

f(x) - “Jet” and “Electric Shock”

After waiting over one year for their return, I’ll admit, I had some pretty high expectations for f(x). And I was surprised their album was better than I thought it would be. Each member came back with a new look though Victoria’s was the most dramatic - blond hair! Being the most recent comeback, I’ve including both songs from the first comeback stage. With incredible choreography and outfits for both, it’s almost too hard to believe they’ve been gone as long as they have.

B.A.P - “Power”

It hasn’t been that long since we’ve seen B.A.P, but their comeback brought a few unexpected changes. Almost all of the members came back with different hairstyles and colors including, browns, purple, pink, black and of course blond. With an unbelievable MV and the choreography to match, their performances were amazing. And let’s not forget that Yongup did flips WHILE singing. Pretty amazing, right?

SHINee - “Sherlock”

With nearly two years between their Korean promotions, SHINee’s comeback quickly became one of the most anticipated. And boy did they pull it off. Like every other comeback, each member had a new look, but I think Taemin’s hair was the most shocking. Or was it Jonghyun’s muscles? I can’t decide. Anyway, what really caught fan’s eyes was the choreography - it’s just a shame they couldn’t promote for a longer period of time. I know I would have loved to see them perform a few more times.
