The outfits that we see in KPOP music videos have the ability to make every item of clothing that you own look boring and dull in comparison. However, as always, there are groups that take it above and beyond and make sure that your eyes never leave their clothing. Here are 8 of the most eye-catching outfits seen in 2012 so far.
These may not have been the most popular outfits of the year, but they are definitely a feast for the eyes. The colors are both bright and unique, as orange and navy is not a commonly seen combination, especially for girl groups. With their common pattern, these outfits have made quite a splash.
Rainbow Pixie took on the cute concept this year, but they caught attention for much more than their aegyo. The girls’ sparkly, vibrant outfits instantly won over viewers’ hearts. Not to mention their stage outfits which included bath robes and rounded dresses.
At first glance, these outfits may not seem super spectacular or outrageous, but when EXO unites, their combined outfits look spectacular! From Kai’s low, silver pants to Tao’s ripped shirt, this group has definitely not skipped out on the clothing, especially since they’re still rookies.
The girls who make up TaeTiSeo, who we’re so used to in tiny, sleek outfits as part of SNSD, took a rather funky approach as a sub-unit. With bright blue, grey and black making up most of the outfit, together with lots of stripes and feathers, these outfits are both cute and perfect for their many hand gestures.
B1A4 took a huge chance and made a comeback with a style and concept that has never been attempted in the history of KPOP: Western! The first things that most of us spot are either the cowboy hats or Sandeul’s colorful shirt. The poncho on Gongchan is also super unique!
Sunny Hill has never been a group to follow the crowd and dress to impress - they dress to leave an impact and they certainly did whilst promoting “The Grasshopper Song“. The leather pants, flared midriffs and tiny shirts almost created a cute grasshopper in most of our minds.
The girls of miss A definitely make some stylish mummies! The girl group made headlines for their bandage look, with many believing that it was too revealing, and others in love with it. Either way, they looked stunning performing in these never-before-worn outfits.
Leave it to Big Bang to display more colors than any girl group has ever done. A neon pink jacket, bright yellow sunglasses and a weird crown-type thing on G-Dragon’s head are just some of the crazy things that the group has worn and shown off in 2012.
Just when we think the clothing in KPOP can’t get any more stunning, interesting or even plain weird, it proves us wrong. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!
