Mini-albums may flood KPOP on a regular basis, but every now and then a full album is released, in all its 10+ track glory. The beginning of this year was no exception, and although there weren’t an explosion of releases, there were definitely enough to keep any Kpopper satisfied. And now, for the best ones in this first half of 2012…

B1A4’s first album was absolute glory on every listener’s ears, but of course the repackaged album has to take the cake, as it featured all the tracks from the album as well as new songs and a whopping 72 cards included. You’ve got to love any album that weighs as much as your cat! The tracks all have their own flavor and truly show off the artists in the group.

These lovely ladies have received a ton of success in their short group-life, and before we knew it, they released their first full length album entitled Une Annee (and no, I will not pronounce that). The title track, Hush, is both sweet and upbeat, while the rest of the album displays the pure sweetness that A Pink always promises.

If the cover isn’t enough to persuade you, then the name Jay Park should! With his mixture of rap, hip hop and dance, this artist is not one for average listener. All of his songs on the New Breed album will move you - either your body won’t stop gyrating or your heart will skip a beat. This is one for the 2012 collection, if not, any collection!

His signature black nailpolish isn’t the best thing about this album, although it does manage to lure even the most rookie XIA fans. This singing legend has chosen the year of 2012 to release his first ever solo album, and this lace-covered beauty was totally worth waiting for. The dancing-spell title track, “Tarantallegra,” is amazingly addictive, but that’s just the beginning…

Once again, Big Bang’s Alive album was incredible, but with the extra titles added to the repackage, you’ve got to opt for Still Alive. However, if you’re looking for the best packaging, then this is not the one for you, as the awesome metallic cover is replaced with a simple, white box. An extended intro is always welcomed, and after seeing the “Monster” music video, you’ve got to want this one!

The 10th album has got to say something! If a group, like Shinhwa, manages to stay around long enough for their 10th full length album to hit the racks, then it’s one that you should want, no NEED, to get. The title track, “Venus,” couldn’t be any more appropriate as the goddess of love certainly has made me fall utterly in love with this album. Check it out!

After this list, there is no excuse for having a lack of good music in the first half, and second half, of 2012!
