There have been some very good comebacks this year, but also those who didn’t do so well. Here’s a list of what I found to be the most disappointing comebacks of 2012…So Far.

Speed by T-ara - Lovey Dovey Plus


The feeling I get with this song, is that they tried to gain success by taking over pieces from a song that already had its success. But that aside, if you look at the MV in Ver.1, the dance and also the feeling of the video resembles the video and dance of the original “Lovey Dovey” too much. I feel like they could’ve done more to make it their own! And I don’t know what Hwayoung is doing in both MVs, especially in Ver.2. I don’t get why she is being filmed almost the whole MV just standing there. The MVs just aren’t interesting at all.

T-ara - Lovey Dovey

The only disappointing thing about this song was the MV. The story and the acting was great but the song didn’t match the MV at all. The song itself was too happy to have such a touching and dramatic MV. But I thought the song itself was very nice and the live performances were very good!

Girl’s Day - Oh! My God

The MV was really fun to watch, but as they did their live performance, that feeling was lost because of their cute concept. By singing the song in a way-too-cutesy and unnatural way, they lost the fun song by making it sound like a song for little kids.

Block B - Nalina

Love the song! Love the dance! This is more of a disappointment towards the music programs and that the song wasn’t promoted more. They did something wrong, but I feel they were punished too much!

EXO-K - History

Also a great song! But SM Entertainment sent out too many teasers and because of this people were expecting a lot from their debut stage. On the first debut, they didn’t sing live and in the performances they did sing live, their nervousness was very obvious. But nothing against EXO, they were able to pick these things up and now their performances are amazing!

technically, exo’s stage was a debut .. not a comeback ...
i don’t like this article ... i feel that its pushing the esteem of the newer groups ... like SPEED, Block B and EXO ... </3


Agreed. I think Block B deserved a little more forgiveness, and I felt bad for EXO because they put it a lot of work (just like every rookie) but SM pushed them a little too hard


I loved Nalina by Block B =)

But I share Arishays opinion - it would be nice to read more facts, when it comes to such topics.


Please write facts and not what you think about.. T-ara’s ‘Lovey Dovey’ song an MV made great job. Even the album’s sales jumped more than doubled compared to the previous album.. (123,197 albums sold - T-ara has never been crossed 100.000 in sales before)..T-ara’s ‘Lovey Dovey’MV almost 8.000.000 views on Youtube with 40.000 positve ratings..

Core Contents Media tried also to use this song for promoting ‘Speed’ the second new sub-unit from Coed School. They thought this song can rise popularity of this sub-unit, but they failed.


EXO… it’s always nerve wrecking when u first debut on stage
but for the others… they’ve already experienced that feeling
but yeah… EXO is already on their toes and aren’t as shy anymore

Girl’s Day, they act too cute for their age my opinion
but the songs are catchy and fun
i wish they sang more songs like Nothing lasts Forever
that’s when i first noticed them compared to their cute debut
but yeah… just me i guess


Block B definitely did not need death threats. Like just no. And although they were being a bit stupid in the interview they actually all donated to the Thailand before the interview and even gave away books and other things to help the Thai people. So I really dont understand why people had to go so far in punishing them.
Anyways I loved Nanlina. So addicting x) And I loved History as well… >< And Lovey Dovey too tbh x)


I don’t know. Girls’ Day, Block B, and EXO seemed fine to me.
I’m not sure about T-ara and Speed though. 


well Speed’s comeback was dissapointing ,
I mean I really like Co ED School ,
5Dolls did well ,
but what with them ,
what hwayoung is doing there , just dancing in the middle ,
but I love the concept of Co ED , why they are doing by splitting ~!


EXO-K disappointing? I think not.. O_O


I think all IS GOOD LE, except for Speed. They deserved their own song for a debut and i think it’s a wrong choice of songs. 


Exo-k History is cool though..


i agree with this somewhat. i was so disappointed with speed’s comeback. it was supposed to highlight the guys of co-ed school, so why in the hell was hwayoung doing in the video?? seriously… and the only place that lovey dovey would make sense in the mv is at the club - not the super drama. and i gotta say - as much as i love their acting, i’m getting tired of watching drama vids that are like 15-20 minutes long. and i never actually listened to girls’ day’s oh my god except in a youtube kpop countdown video kind of thing. the 5 seconds i heard - it just made me want to puke rainbows. it was too cute for me. personally - i liked nanrina. and history was not their comeback*i’m pretty sure about that* but i love history nonetheless. i do agree that there were.. a LOT of teasers. but teasers aside, EXO could really be big. we’ll just have to wait and see


EXO wasn’t their comeback song though. And I think they did well in History, teasers or not. I actually like History especially in M’s where Luhan says “Enjoy the mayo~” I love that part :]

I actually really loved Nalina, so I’m not the least bit disappointed with them or Exo.
