We’ve all seen some stage outfits from our favorite groups and solo artists that are pretty bad. But which ones are really bad? Curious? Here are 7 of the worst stage outfits so far this year.
4MINUTE’s “Volume Up” outfits aren’t all bad. The ones they wore in the MV were pretty, but this one? Not so much. After they were voted girl group with the worst stage outfits, I have to agree. There’s just way too much going on - three different prints and tons of color. And I don’t know about you, but I’d rather pay attention to the performance, not that awful print. Head here, if you want to see their attention grabbing outfits on stage.
NU’EST followed up their “Face” promotions with “I’m Sorry,” it’s just a shame they had to do it wearing these outfits. At least they kept all of the bad on the top half - red satin shirt and those weird puff bow, things. And I feel really bad for Ren with that huge puff on his neck - must make dancing a little uncomfortable. The sad part is if the stylists had just left off the white puffs, the outfits would be nice even with the satin shirts. Let’s just be thankful there performances were better than the outfits.
I’m sorry, Girl’s Day, but your lime green, bright pink and purple stage outfits for “Oh! My God” were just wrong. If the fabrics had all been the same, it probably would have worked. But, they decided to combine patent lime green “pleather,” whit purple and bright pink cottons. When I first watched the performance these outfits were for, the first thing that popped in my head was watermelon. Don’t you think it fits - if you ignore the purple?
I love Big Bang, and it breaks my heart to put them on this list. BUT, the tracksuits they wore for “Fantastic Baby” and the red outfits for “Bad Boy” (mostly GD’s) were just…bad.
When it comes to the tracksuits, they really aren’t THAT bad - I guess its just the intense neon colors. But the red outfits should have stuck with the “less is more” moto. Most of the guy’s outfits could be considered okay since they were standing next to GD, but his was a little out there. With red pants, red jacket and a red bandana on his head, there was just too much. I think the only reason more people didn’t talk about it was because of Daesung’s outfit - hello Mr. Muscles! And because I couldn’t pick which was the worst, I’ll leave that to you - Fantastic Baby OR Bad Boy?
Again, not the worst of the worst, but Sunny Hill’s “White Horse is Coming” outfits weren’t great either. Each member is wearing a different style from the others making them look completely separate. And let’s not forget the YELLOW - no one looks good in that color. It might be okay if they were all in the same shade of yellow, but there in everything from mustard to a pale neon. If you don’t believe, check out their performance here. I really think stylists forget about consistency - it’s needed in a person’s wardrobe, too.
Most of their stage outfits aren’t bad, until you get to this red and black combination. Unfortunately, Infinite followed in 4MINUTE’s foot steps a little when it came to their “The Chaser” outfits. The worst part is that the pattern isn’t just on a jacket or a shirt. It’s everywhere - scarves, shirts, jackets, vests and pants. You can get a pretty good idea of what I’m talking about from the picture above, but the performance will actually show it to you.
Andamiro may be new to the world of kpop with her song “Malgo,” but that doesn’t mean wearing a body suits is okay. Sorry but no one wants to know that much about your body let alone your backup dancers. That’s right, her back up dancers are wearing them, too. And it’s not just that it’s a body suit, the ’70s styled print on them is not flattering…at all. This is just one of the many she has worn and I think what bothers me the most is that suit covers her shoes too. Check out her performance here.
BONUS:
Regardless of the concept, Rainbow Pixie takes the cake on having the worst stage outfits. I still can’t believe they wore these ridiculous, fairy inspired outfits for “Hoi Hoi.”
I, seriously, think it’s time for the fans to be included in the designing phase of stage outfits. Don’t you? What are some other bad outfits from the first half of 2012?
