One of the most unique part about K-POP is the dance choreography that accompanies every dance song. While the music may not be for everyone, both fans of KPOP and non K-POP listeners will be captivated by the choreography. Every year, we get a batch of new choreography to admire and this year was no different. Below, are 6 of the best dance choreography of 2012…so far.
EXO-K - “History”
Maybe it’s the complicated choreography. Maybe it’s the fact that the members of EXO-K are good dancers. Or maybe it’s simply because the members are all good looking. Whatever the reason is, “History” has got to be one of the most entertaining and fun dance choreography to watch. I’ve seen the dance practice video below so many times, and the choreography still impresses me!
SHINee - “Sherlock”
Being SM Entertainment’s most expensive choreography, it should come as no surprise that SHINee’s “Sherlock” made the list. Rather than focusing on a level of difficulty, every movement in this choreography is part of one complete story. Definitely one of the most creative choreography in K-Pop.
INFINITE - “The Chaser”
INFINITE is well known for being a strong dance group and they never fail to meet our expectations when it comes to their dances. “The Chaser” may not be their best dance choreography (I believe that title still belongs to “Before the Dawn“) but the group’s synchronized dancing and smooth moves in the song earns them a spot on this list.
miss A - “Touch”
With three out of four members recognized for their dancing skills, miss A never disappoints with their dance choreography. While the dance in “Touch” isn’t high on the difficulty level, the sensual and sexy dance moves matches so well with the lyrics of the song. The chorus is definitely my favorite part of the choreography.
EXO-K - “MAMA”
Choreographed by world-renowned choreographer Lyle Beniga, the dance for EXO’s “MAMA” is one of the most complicated dances this year. Some of us have probably attempted to learn the dance and sadly failed, but we can’t help but be amazed by the choreography.
B.A.P - “Power”
Just like the title of the song, B.A.P’s “Power” contains very strong dance moves. There’s a lot of wide movements, and the moves are packed with so much energy that you can feel it just watching the dance. A choreography this intense will give anyone a good workout!
Are there any other dance choreography of 2012 that you thought should have made the list?
