The way we style our hair is usually a way to accentuate certain features or a specific outfit. In KPOP, nine times out of ten, it is the main focal point and sometimes hairstyles are so outrageous that fans are torn between loving and hating their biases new look. So here are 7 of the Most Outrageous Hairstyles of 2012 that have happened this year so far.

U-KISS’ AJ

The jacket and eyebrows are enough to capture your attention, but AJ took it a step further when he went for this hairstyle. The short, light hairstyle would normally be pretty average, but the stripes of bright color in his hair make this look pop like never before.

Brown Eyed Girls’ Miryo

This hairstyle is what my mother would call a bird’s nest - it is the perfect condition for a bird to live in, I can tell you that much. From her crown to the elastic band it looks fine, but after that is where the problem starts. I really think that Miryo is in dire need of a hairbrush, and fast!

Big Bang’s Taeyang

We all know that Big Bang perfectly portrayed monsters in their recent music video, but if a complete outsider had to see this hairstyle, they would probably have heart failure. The long, curled rings on Taeyang’s head are not particularly attractive, but, then again, who would look good in that?

SPICA’s Narae

From her blunt bangs, to the shocking color, to the spiked ponytail right on top of her head, Narae captured attention for much more than her stunning vocals whilst promoting “Painkiller.” This hairstyle is rather cute and fun on stage, but anywhere else, and it’ll cause some stares.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon

We all knew this one was coming! G-Dragon’s seaweed hairstyle has got to be the hairstyle of the year, no questions asked! Any hairstyle that can raise as much attention as a dating scandal in the world of KPOP deserves that much. Besides, who cares if it’s hot or not - it’s super outrageous!

B.A.P’s Zelo

B.A.P’s youngest never got to explore with his hair when the group first debuted, as they all sported the same color and look. Now, with freedom in hand, Zelo seized the opportunity and went for a red and pink splashed hairstyle. Anything on this guy looks adorable, you’ve got to admit.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon

And once again, the king is back on this list. G-Dragon, now sporting a mushroom hairstyle, which completely blocks his vision, has completely changed his look, but has not turned down the heat in terms of being daring. You’ve just got to wonder what he’ll try next.

If you’re ever in need of some attention, these are definitely some hairstyles to try. However, I think that the faint-hearted should stay away from any of these looks!

I really loved GD’s seaweed hair!! I kind of love all he does :D and Zalo just stays cute whatever he does :D and I love pink so no problems here hehe :D

G-Dragon and his outrageous hair xD Even though, it grew to me (the seaweed one lol )
But Zelo’s I really like it! :D

I find that Zelo’s hairstyle isn’t VERY outrageous. Taeyang and Miryo’s hairstyles are the most outrageous for me..

Zelo’s looks normal compared to the others. I like it.
But Taeyang’s was really ...eh.
I actually liked GD’s though. It was different but he rocked it. 


Wow, those are some pretty outrageous hairstyles!  But I don’t think Narae and the Zelo where that outrageous..


the only hair I think truly failed is Taeyang’s… I loved his spikes!!

I like all the hair styles except for Taeyang’s to be honest. I prefer the mohawk that he had in the MV better than the roll-y hair.
