On July 9th (KST), 2NE1 Minzy’s great-aunt and traditional dancer, Gong Ok Jin passed away and 2NE1 has decided to cancel their comeback performance on Mnet’s “M Countdown” so Minzy can attend the funeral.

On July 10th, YG Entertainment stated, “Minzy wanted to be there in person for the funeral proceedings. The broadcast company understands the situation, and that is why we have decided to cancel the performance for ‘M Countdown.’”

In addition to the ‘M Countdown’ cancellation, Minzy will be absent from the “me2day Star Chat” on July 11th, but the other members will still make an appearance.

The funeral for Gong Ok Jin will last four days.

Our condolences to Minzy and her family during this difficult time.
