Over the past year or so, we’ve seen a quite a few groups break into sub-units for promotions and T-ara has been asked whether or not they will follow suit. Well…T-ara is answering that question right now… Not right now.

On July 14th, the girls held a press conference for their QUEENs fanclub inauguration ceremony, and they stated, “A lot of people ask us about whether or not T-ara will form unit groups and promote. Currently there are no plans for that.”

Leader Soyeon explained, “We know that a lot of our peers in the girl groups are going solo or doing some unit work, but T-ara is too busy promoting all together. …That is why we do not have any plans to promote as a unit. As we are now an 8 member group and have a fresh new concept, we need to adapt to that and plan to show what we can do together.”

T-ara is currently promoting their new mini-album and song, “Day by Day“.

I’m sure T-ara will consider sub-units someday but really glad that it’s not happening now. I like it when they perform as one unit.

I like their decision about this topic. I think it’s great that they all are going to perform together as one. I’ve always enjoyed groups performing together! XD

I guess this a good decision. Since they recently added two new members, they should all get the time to know the new members and have sub units when the company is ready to promote each member. The fans should get used to seeing two new members in T-ara also. :D I already love watching T-ara members in variety shows or dramas. smile


That’s probably a good decision. Better to be together and settle in for the time being than go and start a sub-unit.


I think this is good as they recently added a new member right?  As they did, I think that they should promote as one groups before separating so that the new member would get used to the whole group instead of her own sub-unit.


i rarely like sub-unit so it’s ok~~ i prefer idol groups to promote together or a solo debut~

Are the new members already in T-ara during day by day?

Yes, Areum is already active in the group and Dani is supposed to start in December, but she was featured in the “Day by Day” MV


Sometimes it’s better without sub-units...but it would’ve been nice since some of them have been getting more into acting lately. ^^
