On July 19th’s broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Happy Together 3, JYP and 2PM’s Nichkhun appeared on the show as guests. During the show, JYP revealed that he wasn’t too sure about Nichkhun’s future as a singer when he was a trainee.

JYP confessed, “I didn’t oppose casting Nichkhun ,but I wasn’t for the casting. …When a casting crew introduced Nichkhun first, I was pretty pessimistic about his future as a singer. After watching him singing and dancing, I doubted he would make [it as a] singer. Now, Nichkhun [is the breadwinner] of JYP Entertainment.”

He continued, “Once I fessed up to Nichkhun what I had previously though of him, and apologized. He said he was okay with that, which made me shed a tear.”

Nichkhun then admitted, “I knew he was pessimistic about me as a singer, but even I wasn’t confident about myself.”
