Back in June, Super Junior’s Kangin was considering the lead role of ‘Lee Shin’ in the Japanese musical, “Goong” and now he’s decided to take it.

SM Entertainment revealed, “Kangin will be in a musical ‘Goong’ this upcoming September in Japan. He has done [a] couple of practices and he is very excited.”

The musical is a spin-off of the TV drama, “Goong”, a romantic comedy about a crown prince and an ordinary high school girl who are arranged to be married by their grandparents. It will begin production at the U-Port Hall in Tokyo starting September 1st through the 13th.

Other idols that have played on the role of ‘Lee Shin’ are TVXQ’s Yunho and last year, SS501’s Kim Kyujong.
