Singer/actor Kim Hyun Joong is currrently filming his new drama “City Conquest” and the drama has revealed a few stills from his motorcycle chase scene.

The scene that you see in the photos is a motorcycle chase scene complete with car explosion. According to the drama, it took days to prepare for the scene because of all of the security measures and to perfect the timing. As for Kim Hyun Joong, he impressed the producers with his natural motorcycle riding skills.

The show is being directed by PD Yang Yunho, who directed the hit actionr drama “Iris” and the special effects team is also from the show as well. As a result, fans are quickly nicknaming the show “Iris 2″.

“City Conquest” is about the man, Baek Mir (Kim Hyun Joong), who resents his father for abandoning him and his mother, so he decides to get revenge on the evil world that destroyed his family. But of course, he begins to fall in love… Actress Jung Yumi (’A Thousand Days’ Promise“, “Rooftop Prince“) has also been cast as the female lead, Lee Dan Bi, a jewelry designer.

As of right now, no release date or network have been determined for the drama.

Certainly looks like the show is going to be action packed! I loved “Iris” so I have a feeling I’m going to love this drama as well (plus Kim Hyun Joong is in it XD). Can’t wait for them to set a date to begin airing!
