It’s been reported that 2PM’s Nichkhun allegedly rear-ended a motorcycle while driving under the influence of alcohol. Luckily nobody was hurt.

The incident occurred on July 24th at 3:30AM (KST) in Gangnam. Apparently, Nichkhun’s blood alcohol level was found to be at .056% (for reference…in the U.S., the BAC Limit of all 50 states and D.C. is .08%. In Korea it is .05%). As a result his license has been suspended.

Dispatch was able to speak with an official from Gangnam’s police station over the phone and was told, “After learning his alcohol content at the site [of the incident], it was concluded that [Nichkhun] was not severely intoxicated. Immediately after the incident, [Nichkhun] and the victim were investigated by the police.”

The official continued, “It was a small accident and neither Nichkhun nor the victim were injured. Both vehicles were insured, and Nichkhun has taken measures to safely return home following his investigation.”

It’s good everyone is ok, but not ok that nichkhun was driving! although it was only just over the limit is still wrong!


Drunk driving isn’t okay, but he was barely over the limit, and he’d probably only had a couple of drinks and figured he’d be okay. He was just unlucky that he got into an accident (but very lucky no one was hurt). Yes, he could’ve been more careful, but it’s not really fair to blame him.


ok i am a 2pm fan a huge one at that but i cant beleive how many ppl are acting ok with this HE WAS DRIVING DRUNK..................that is a big deal i mean I AM GLAD HE AND THE OTHER PERSON WERE NOT HURT.................thats a law you don’t want to break here in the states.....maybe losing his license for a bit will teachhim

As long as he and the other motorist is fine then I’m relieved.  But what pisses me off is that many people on other forums are condemning him.  And I think they claim to be 2PM fans.  That ticks me off even more.  We should supporting him and making sure he’s alright instead of condemning him.  I mean, don’t they realize that Nickhun is also a human being?!  It’s not like he purposely drank and drove and his dorms was a short distance away.  I’m sorry for ranting but this is just my opinion.  If I get kicked off of this forum for this rant, then I guess won’t be returning.
