WM Entertainment has revealed that B1A4’s maknae, Gongchan recently underwent surgery to have a kidney removed and is recovering in the hospital.

Gongchan’s surgery was on July 23rd (KST) and according to WM Entertainment, “When the group was keeping busy with their song, ‘Baby Goodnight,’ Gongchan felt pain in his side. He went to the hospital and heard that his kidney was failing. He put off [the] surgery because he wanted to get surgery after he finished performing the song.”

They continued, “Whenever Gongchan felt pain, he had a painkiller to perform on stage. He always wore a happy face and tried not to look like he was in pain for group members and fans.”

Gongchan’s doctor explained, “We decided to remove one of his kidneys because it is dysfunctional.”

After a week’s stay in the hospital, it is expected that he will be able to live an ordinary life, but the WM Entertainment will make sure that he stabilizes first and does not overdo it.

In other B1A4 news, Sandeul is currently performing in his musical, “Brothers Were Brave” and Baro is appearing on a radio program. B1A4’s “Hello Baby” will also begin airing on KBS Joy starting on July 25th.

0-o well heck they only kept me in the hospital for 3 days when they removed mine !
EK! Kidney pain is one of the WORST pains I have ever experienced ,if he could preform under that then I need to check out this person he seems pretty cool, but that is really not good for your body.
