Yes, yes it’s been a while since Part 2 of this OST post. But that just means there are even more great OST songs to choose from for Part 3! So far, there have been so many amazing dramas that have been broadcast in 2012 and have great soundtracks as well.

Lyn’s “Back in Time” from the “The Moon That Embraces the Sun” OST

First up is hands down my favorite OST song. Ever. Because, well, let’s face it; anything that has to do with this drama is simply amazing. When this song first played during the drama, it became an instant hit. “Back in Time” topped music charts for weeks, proving how stunning Lyn’s voice is and how much it suits the drama. Word from the wise: If you haven’t watched this drama, do it. Now.

SNSD’s Taeyeon’s “I Love You” from the “Athena” OST

Yet another great track from a great drama. After the highly successful run of the hit espionage-action drama “IRIS” in 2009, a spin-off titled “Athena” was set to air in 2010. Following the handful of stirring songs from its predecessor, the OST for “Athena” definitely doesn’t fall short. Especially the song that Taeyeon sings. I’ve always felt that Taeyeon’s voice is more suited for ballads and this song is my evidence. Plus, when this song plays during a sad, character-getting-shot-and-dying scene, oh man it’s waterfall time.

Jang Geun Suk’s “Love Rain” from the “Love Rain” OST

Although I haven’t seen the drama yet, I do know that “Love Rain” has some great OST tracks. And one of them is sung by Jang Geun Suk himself, you can’t get better than that! Sometimes I forget that he’s not just an actor but a singer as well and this song is the perfect reminder. He’s got a great voice and I absolutely love this mellow, laid-back track.

Shayne’s “Story” from the “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop” OST

We don’t really get much news regarding singer Shayne, and it’s a pity since he’s a talented singer. Which is why I was glad that he participated in the OST for “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop”. I watched this drama earlier this year, mainly because I have an undying love for Jung Il Woo, and I loved it. It’s quirky, funny, and it has its sentimental moments. With Shayne’s unique voice, “Story” is a track that you can’t help but love!

JYJ’s Junsu’s “You’re So Beautiful” from “Scent of a Woman” OST

It seems to me like Junsu’s voice was made for OST songs. Seriously, his voice is suited so well for them. “You’re So Beautiful” is a, well, beautiful song that matches perfectly with the drama plot. The song as well as the drama and Junsu’s voice are all beautiful and very touching. And I love how Junsu made a cameo in the drama as well!

Kim Bum Soo’s “I Miss You” from the “Stairway to Heaven” OST

Oh man, bringing back some old dramas back! Honestly, some of the older dramas are the best ones there are. “Stairway to Heaven” is one of those dramas, and once it aired between 2003 and 2004, it captured millions of drama-viewing fans. Even today, it’s one of the most popular dramas out there and it helped launch the careers of the four lead actors. And, of course, with such a great drama, you need a great OST! Kim Bum Soo’s song is the epitome of perfect because his voice is just so rich and moving that “I Miss You” automatically sends chills down your spine.

Younha’s “Can’t Believe It” from the “Personal Taste” OST

Another one of my personal favorite tracks. “Personal Taste” is a great drama and when it was first getting ready to be aired, many were anticipating it as it would be Lee Min Ho’s first project after the hit drama “Boys Over Flowers”. Needless to say, the drama lived up to its expectations and so did Younha. Unlike the other songs on this list so far, “Can’t Believe It” is a more upbeat and fun track, which Younha pulls off quite nicely. Younha has always been underrated in my opinion, and it’s sad because just listen to her voice!

Super Junior’s Yesung’s “Waiting for You” from the “Paradise Ranch” OST

I think it’s an unanimous vote when it comes to saying whether or not Yesung’s voice is suited for OSTs. In my opinion, I think he suits them a little too well. His voice is just a stunning gift and it’s enough to make you speechless. “Waiting for You” (as well as many many other solo songs) showcases Yesung’s powerful voice and provide a reason as to why this man should have more solos. Plus, it’s also nice to see him helping out a fellow SM labelmate!

JYJ’s Jaejoong’s “I’ll Protect You” from the “Protect the Boss” OST

And yet another heavenly voice awaits us to be listened to. Jaejoong’s voice has always been my favorite voice to listen to because the quality he possesses is jaw-dropping. I think he’s honestly capable of singing any song he wants to. But, obviously, I prefer his ballads over everything else, like “I’ll Protect You”. I mean, those high notes are something. Jaejoong did a great job in the drama as well!

Wonder GirlsSunye’s “The Sound of Love” from the “Feast of Gods” OST

I honestly don’t think I’ve heard a Sunye solo before. And boy am I happy that I found out about this song. I’ve always known that she has an amazing voice, but having her own OST track really lets her shine. Her voice has definitely matured throughout the years since her debut and you can tell just by listening to “The Sound of Love”. The track has a great beat to it and matches quite well with Sunye’s personality!
