The 26-year old South-Korean Im Dong-hyun, who is almost blind broke the world record in achery, by going over his own 72-arrow mark of 696 by three points. He is only able to see a bit of the colors of the target, but because he trained his posture so well he is able to have perfect scores.
Together with his team mates Kim Bubmin and Oh Jin-Hyek he helped breaking the world record as a team by registering a 216-arrow total of 2,087, and by this breaking the record by a smashing 18 points.
The South-Korean archery team is really strong, the top 3 is leaded all by South-Koreans, Im Dong-Hyun leading with 699 points, only one point behind with 698 points Kim Bubmin and Oh Jin-Hyek on 3rd place with 690 points.
Although I’m not a South-Korean citizen, I’m still really happy he was able to break the record. It seems I’m rooting for two countries at the same time.
