Unfortunately, there’s some sad news in hold for KISSMEs. As many of you know, U-KISS member AJ was accepted to the famous and prestigious Columbia University last year. He scored perfect scores on his SAT Subject Tests and a near perfect score on his Reasoning Test. With those scores, he fell in within the 1% top students in the world.

And on July 29th, AJ finally revealed his decision regarding his education. U-KISS held their ‘U-KISS 1st JAPAN LIVE TOUR 2012‘ that day and at the end of the concert, AJ announced himself that he would be leaving for the States and taking a break from the group. He will be inactive for 5 months starting in August.

NH Media released a statement on their official website and said, “The withdrawal doesn’t mean he will be permanently leaving the group. He will be in the United States for five months to pursue his education and he plans to rejoin the group some time early next year. He cannot finish up his activities in Korea but he must enroll in school after the groups promotions in Japan ends. We are sorry to say that parting greetings won’t be made in Korea. Though it is expected that parting greetings should be made during Korean promotions, his enrollment period has overlapped with the end of Japanese promotions. AJ will not be with the U-KISS members for the time being but please continue to cheer for him until he returns after he completes his studies early next year.”

So if U-KISS’ September comeback really happens, then that unfortunately means that AJ will not be present.

OMG, he’ll be so close and my friend is going to Columbia University and she’s gonna be a freshman too! Now I’m def gonna visit her and stalk AJ out and get his pic and signature!

good choice aj, music isn’t going to be forever. so if he has this then at least he has another career choice.  kissme will miss you, but we cannot wait until you come back next year.  in the mean time kissme will continue to support the 6 remaining members.

OMG!!! I’ve always wanted to go to Columbia University!!! Since I live in NY, I wanted to go to a uni thats close to home. I really want to get into Columbia University. Its my dream since I was young.


Dang. He is a very smart cookie!! 5 months isn’t that long though. Study hard and do well at Colombia!!!
