After being swept into controversy regarding tweets and bullying about member Hwayoung, a drastic change is about to hit T-ara. CCM has officially announced that Hwayoung is out of the group and her leave will be effective immediately.
Kim Kwang Soo, the CEO to CCM, wrote a press release stating Hwayoung’s departure. He said, “In deference to the complaints by T-ara’s staff of 19 people (5 stylists, 7 hair & makeup, 5 on-site managers, 2 team mangers), Hwayoung’s contract as an artist will be voided effective immediately with no conditions.” He also went on to deny the claims that her departure has nothing to do with the ‘bullying’ tweets from the members of T-ara.
He concluded, “We deeply apologize for the many incidents which made everyone who loved T-ara nervous and worried, and we have nothing but sadness to convey such an unsettling incident on their third anniversary. We also apologize again to the T-ara members and wish Hwayoung all the best as a powerful rapper.”
Hwayoung joined T-ara back in December of 2010 and will now be leaving after 20 months.
I honestly have no words to say about this entire issue. Clearly she was the one being bullied and CCM decides to solve the matter by kicking her out? With this issue, T-ara is losing fans very very quickly and it will be hard for them to get back up on their feet after this. And if you recall, a bullying issue also arose when Soomi left Co-Ed/5dolls after supposedly being bullied by her fellow members.
I just hope that Hwayoung stays strong through all this. She should know that practically everybody who is following this controversy is supporting her and rooting for her.
