SBS“s “Running Man” is the latest show to take a sideways swipe at the misjudgment controversy that occurred during a match of the 2012 London Olympics. The alleged mistaken ruling that happened over the fencing match involving South Korean fencer Shin Ah Lam.

In the beginning of the episode, the show aired a brief segment detailing the events and what had happened during the last week. It was accompanied by the caption “Superpowers exist?” for a subtle jab. The show then parodied some of the several mistakes that the Olympic judges had allegedly made, giving them titles like “The one with the power to stop time” and “The one who can see what high-speed cameras fail to see.”

Other shows, such as “Gag Concert” and “Infinity Challenge,” had also poked fun at the incident in their broadcast this week.

Actress Han Ji Min starred as the guest this week, competitively racing with the members across Jeju Island for a chance to win money for their break time.

I think RM has every right to make fun of this - heck I’m going to make fun of these judges for a long time. I those judges lose their credibility - that was a ridiculous ruling.

I just realized how racist people are. I saw news about how one of china’s swimmers won gold and finished so much faster than all the other swimmers and faster than the male swimmers too. They thought that she was using drugs and cheated but she really didn’t. Some people think that only people from america or europe could win swimming.


Nobody’s perfect. The good Korea won some gold medals already, happy for them^^

I definitely agree that the judges were too quick to make a decision.  The South Korean woman should have gotten the gold!

I was really annoyed with the refs/judges and not just in fencing. -_-
what a disappointment though. I felt so bad for the athletes. :(
