When it comes to school, studying is associated with it almost undoubtedly. Unless you are one who prefers to procrastinate and/or wait until the day of the exam, but let’s not get into that. Putting studying and KPOP together is very risky, as the more catchier, upbeat and memorable the song, the harder it is to concentrate. You might even end up dancing along instead of siting at your desk with your nose in the textbook. A good possible solution is to have music playing softly in the background, where the volume is not blasting in your ears, but not to the point where you have to strain to hear either. Here are 8 songs on our Study Mode KPOP Playlist!
What a prefect opportunity to showcase remixes and unplugged versions of songs! Of course, not every single song is included, and people have different opinions of what can be considered study-worthy. Sit back and enjoy!
1. Lightless(Unplugged Version) by B2ST
This version of the song has a calm and smooth beat to it that just makes you want to relax. Just don’t get sucked into the groove too much by their voices! The instrumental is quite sweet, might I add. This piece does get a little high in the register, so make sure you have the volume set appropriately.
2. Wonderful Tonight (Unplugged Remix) by B1A4
Another soothing song! It is slow, a more mellow version of the original. I have been able to work efficiently with this playing in my room, which is wonderful, considering I am quite a big B1A4 fan… Just don’t let them serenade you to sleep!
3. Haru Haru (Acoustic Version) by Big Bang
Yes, I understand it is a sad song, but this version, especially the beginning, is lovely. Big Bang is known for more energetic songs, so this one was a good break for me especially when I had to have some time to reflect or just read quietly. Rather than a big “bang” going on in your room while fangirling loudly, enjoy this selection while nodding along.
4. Real Story by Infinite
Okay, so this one is a little different than what has been listed so far, but still, it is a playful and moderately slower song. The nananas might be a little tempting, but other than that, let the music enhance your studying atmosphere or help you prepare for some good reading, at least.
5. Replay by SHINee
I must say, this one is a tad risky, especially for Shawols out there. It is relaxing, but you might have the urge scream out “Noona neomu yeppeo!” The beat and tune, otherwise, should bring about a peaceful aura. Yes, I have been able to study with this playing quietly in the background. Just don’t watch the music video otherwise all hope is lost.
6. Hug by DBSK
Yes, we all miss the original five. This song is so cute and innocent sounding. It gives off a youthful and relaxing feeling for times when you feel burdened down with schoolwork and just need, well, a hug. The harmonizing and snapping also adds to the serene piece. Now I want a hug!
7. Star Star Star(☆★☆) Acoustic RnB Version by SNSD
Acoustic is the way to go. Love the beginning intro music, and the song is a lovely one. No angsty sounding vocals or energetic vibes here! They sing their hearts out sweetly instead. The tempo is a good steady slower one, and you might even want to look out your window for stars at night. Oh wait, don’t you dare peel your eyes away from those class notes!
8. Why I Like You by Super Junior
Here is Super Junior, not because I over-love their songs or anything, cough. This one has clapping sound effects. Whatever you do, don’t clap along. Reset is also a good pick, in my opinion, along with a few others from the SORRY, SORRY album. Not including the title track, of course. It would destroy all hope of studying, may I boldly say.
You know what’s even better? Instrumentals of calm KPop/KBallad pieces. That way, you won’t be distracted by words, unless you happen to have memorized the lyrics, that is. Depending on where your “true love” lies for KPop, some songs may be safer for you to listen to than others. Ballads might actually be a better choice. Browse through soloists or duos. But, whatever you do, DO NOT BLAST THE MUSIC. What are songs that you would put on your study mode playlist, if you’d have one?

Wowowow! If it’s BEAST, IINFINITE, B1A4 and Super Junior’s songs then I must say I wouldn’t want to concentrate on studying xD I’d be too distracted to do so~
Lol I like the one you wrote for SHINee. I often get lost studying by looking at kpop music videos

these are great, Beast - Lightless really is such a beautiful and calm song, but I really like the whole list, haru haru is my favorite song ever, but I would sing a long to much hehe, but I always listen to sountracks or orchestra peaces or just piano pieces like the river flows in you when I’m studying
Beast lightless and DBSK Hug on the list made my day even better..

The songs are all nice and soothing
I also enjoy listening to Hello to Myself when I’m studying ^^
I love all these songs. But when I study, I can’t listen to Kpop cuz I’ll just end up singing along to every single song. OTL So my “study playlists” usually consist of the instrumental songs from dramas I watched. x3 That way I don’t get too distracted.
nice song list
