We all love our KPOP idols for being wonderful both on stage and off, and it seems like some of their talents go even further then simply singing and dancing. Here’s a list of some of your favorite idols that don’t only show up on T.V for singing and dancing, but for acting as well.
Super Junior’s Siwon (Oh My Lady, Extravagant Challenge, Athena, Poseidon, Attack On The Pin-Up Boys)

Siwon’s pursuit in acting definitely improved since his first official drama of “Oh My Lady”. I started the drama, but couldn’t finish it because I felt like there wasn’t really any chemistry going on between the leads. I have to admit to not watching Poseidon and Athena because I’m not much of an action type person (Does it amuse anyone else that the only action dramas he’s been in are both named after Greek Gods/Goddesses?) but I did in fact watch Extravagant Challenge. I must say, it was refreshing to see some of the acting Siwon did, because in certain portions he had to drop his total “Fresh Prince Charming” look to act a bit ridiculous.
Big Bang’s T.O.P (Iris, 71: Into the Fire, I Am Sam)

I have to admit that I didn’t watch T.O.P’s drama because of the fact that I’m not into action, but seeing as how it is T.O.P we’re talking about, it must have been brilliant. I have seen a case of T.O.P’s acting however from the Secret Garden parody Big Bang did, and I must say that I was impressed - especially with the way he had had to act like a girl in front of Seungska. If you haven’t seen it, you can watch the parody below.
F.T Island’s Lee Hongki (You’re Beautiful)

You’re Beautiful was one of my most favorite drama’s hands down, and Jeremy (Hongki) was my absolute favorite character from there. Not only did he look gorgeous with his blond hair, but the amount of aegyo he did in the drama would make one squeal in delight. I must say that he was the only one who managed to get me to cry in the drama as well, all of you who watched it would know what I’m talking about when I said that. To those of you whom haven’t watched this yet, I don’t understand how you’re living.
CN Blue’s Yonghwa (You’re Beautiful, Heartstrings)

When watching You’re Beautiful I was always rooting for Yonghwa’s character of Shinwoo to end up with Go Minam (Park Shinhye), so I was more then delighted when I heard that the two would have their own romantic drama. I had to admit that I was a bit disappointed with Heartstrings, but Yonghwa’s till a fantastic actor.
JYJ’s Yoochun (Rooftop Prince, Miss Ripley, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Beautiful Love)

Since his debut in Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Yoochun has always landed the lead male role - and he deserves it! I love watch Yoochun’s dramas because he knows who to display a wide variety of emotions that actually allow the watcher to feel what he’s feeling.
JYJ’s Jaejoong (Postman to Heaven, Protect the Boss, Dr. Jin)

It’s always nice to watch Jaejoong’s dramas, because his smug and snarky characters never fail to amuse!
TVXQ’s Changmin (Paradise Ranch)

I haven’t watched his drama yet, but it definitely has a spot on my list of dramas to watch over the summer. To those of you who have watched Paradise Ranch, what did you think of it?
Super Junior’s Donghae (Extravagant Challenge, It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl, Attack On The Pin-Up Boys,Miss Panda and Porcupine)

Will you guys be watching Donghae’s new drama, Miss Panda and Porcupine?
2PM’s Wooyoung (Dream High)

Despite Dream High being Wooyoung’s first acting experience, he definitely became one of my favorite characters in the drama quickly. (Maybe it’s because of him being my bias in 2PM, and maybe not.) His performance as a rookie actor wasn’t one to disappoint, and I found that I shipped his pairing with IU more than the main couple itself.
SHINee’s Taemin (Taehee-Hyegyo-Jihyun)

Taehee-Hyegyo-Jihyun was only a sitcom for the SHINee maknae, but his parts in the sitcom were definitely amusing! He’s also made several cameos in other dramas, such as fellow member Minho’s Salamander Guru and fellow label mate, Krystal’s sitcom, High Kick 3.
There’s quite a number of idols that act, so keep checking back with us for Part 2! Along with the “actress” counterpart.
Which idol/actor is your favorite?
