Ever since claims of bulling have come against girl group T-ara, they have experienced serious rejection such as being removed from dramas and being edited out of TV programmes. Nearly a month later, former member Hwayoung has finally cut through her silence and spoken on on her Twitter about the incident.

Hwayoung wrote on her Twitter, “Having come across articles about Eunjung unni’s leave from her drama, my heart felt uneasy. It is true that there were confrontations due to differences in opinions with the T-ara members while I was promoting as part of T-ara. However, with the stories about bullying going around and the situation growing worse, my heart was in pain. Both sides have also been really upset and hurt by the distorted facts [that have come out].”

Her second tweet added, “However, there were times when I was happy while we were all under one roof, so I want to forget about the past and want us to cheer each other on with smiles on our faces. You all showed so much love, care, and attention to T-ara, so I’m very sorry for having caused concern and worry through this incident to everyone.”

The words of the previous third maknae of T-ara seem to be carefully chosen but it seems to be pointed out that nothing has yet been explained. All we are clear about is that there certainly were “distorted facts” and it seems that Hwayoung does not bear any grudges in my eyes.

I’m glad that Hwayoung is speaking up. T-ara has been going through hardships, and I know she must be feeling discomforted by it too. No matter what, she still thinks of T-ara as her friends who cherished her. T-ara and Hwayoung hwaiting!


Aww, she still calls Eunjung her unni. I hope she does well later on wherever she goes.

hwayoung still so caring to T-ara, T-ara should all just quit company and make a new T-ara with all 7 members meaning no Areum and Dani

It’s nice to hear from someone and it’s trying to be friendly. This T-Ara controversy is getting old but it’s nice to have some sort of response and to know that things are getting better.


I definitely agree with what you are saying. Despite all these fan claims about ‘hidden messages’ I honestly don’t think Hwayoung is enjoying the suffering T-ara is going through. I’m glad she’s being the better person and admitting to this. I think what happened with Eunjung was unfair but I can’t blame SBS or CCM - I blame the antifans for demanding her removal. And I think it’s time that they grow up and let the past be the past. If Hwayoung bears no grudge anymore what’s the point of fighting?
