KARA may have just returned with their new mini-album “Pandora“, but controversy has quickly surrounded them. One of those controversies was over the girls’ van parking in a handicap zone, which DSP Media is now apologizing for.

On August 28th, the agency issued an apology on the girls’ official website stating, “After speaking with the manager who drove the car and investigating the circumstances, we found that the two vehicles KARA and their staff rode on August 25th stopped at a [rest stop] and was parked in a handicap spot for about 15 minutes.”

They continued, “We would like to offer our sincerest apologies to anyone we might have inconvenienced at the time and also apologize to KARA’s fans. We will make sure that this type of unfortunate incident does not happen again in the future.”

The apology is a result of eyewitness accounts that surfaced online, as well as photos showing the girls’ van in a handicap spot. According to those reports there were no regular parking spots available, but the staff and the girls did not seem concerned that they were parked in the handicap spot as they wandered around the rest area.

everything is a big issue if it was related to idols ~.~


I understand why people are reacting because Here it’s illegal to park at a handicapped parking spot if you’re not. Yes, they apologized but I hope that they learn their lesson from this. Do they get fined in Korea for this though?

It’s another one of those stupid things to get worked up over, but I can see why it was wrong. It’s illegal here to park in a handicap spot if you are not handicapped and if someone actually needed that spot than their could have been some issue. But they apologized and I hope they learn their lesson.
