So…last month Psy ventured off to LA to meet with Justin Bieber’s agency, Island Records… The result? He’s joined the agency!

On September 4th, a representative for the artist stated, “Psy has signed on with Island Records for his management worldwide with the exception of Korea.”

They continued, “Psy will be leaving Korea to stand on stage at the MTV VMA on the 6th, and will also be discussing future plans with Island Records during the trip.”

Island Records currently manages stars including Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez.

Whoa… CONGRATULATIONS, PSY!!!

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” MV is currently approaching 100 million views and still spreading all over the world. In fact, on September 3rd, Psy found a rather humorous “baby-version” of his MV, which he shared on twitter and you can see below.

I congratulate him sincerely for his success with Gagnam Style but I can’t help but be curious as to how Island Records is going to market him. Plus I thought agencies didn’t allow two contracts to go on at once - what about his contract with YG?
