Song Joongki Shared His Feelings About His First Lead Role In A Series

Song Joong Ki is returning to the TV screen with the upcoming KBS drama, “Nice Guy” and on September 5th, he discussed how he feels about playing the lead role for the first time in a drama series.

The actor commented, “Many people are asking me how I feel about playing the leading part for the first time. But I don’t place weight on the leading character and it actually doesn’t matter to me.”

He continued, “I don’t care if I’m appearing in many scenes or not. If I care[d], I don’t think I could appear on the TV series ‘A Tree With Deep Roots’.”

However, what excites him is working with the writer for this particular drama, Lee Kyung Hee. He explained, “I’m really excited to appear on the series that is written by writer Lee Kyung Hee. I still can’t believe it when I open my eyes in the morning and go to shoot the series. I want to be recognized by the writer and that’s why I don’t care if the series is my first series, in which I play the leading part.”

For this drama, Song Joongki will play ‘Kang Maro’, a guy that is betrayed by the girl he loves, ‘Han Jae Hee’ (played by Park Siyeon). To get back at her, he decides to use ‘Seo Eun Gi’ (played by Moon Chaewon), a girl that lost her memory.

The drama will begin on Wednesday, September 12th.
