The popularity of SNSD in Japan seems to be unrelenting, especially with their latest single, “Oh!” (a remake of one of their popular Korean singles). On September 14, SNSD was able to take first place on Japan’s biggest digital site Reco Chalk with “Oh.” This feat was also accomplished in just one day after the release of the album. Kudos!
Just as it influenced a frenzy in Korea with the original version of “Oh!” in January 2010, the Japanese version seems to be doing the same thing now among Japanese fans. Netizens commented positively with things like “SNSD is so popular in Japan.” “The song seems to have gotten cuter.” and “SNSD is the trend.”
SNSD’s “Oh” album will be released on September 26 in Japan.
How are you enjoying the Japanese version of “Oh!”?
