2AM member, Jinwoon, is loved for his adorably contagious eye smile, but he has confessed that he has gone through a period where he suffered from depression. This occurred after 2AM’s U.S. tour with JYP in 2010.

On the 16th of September, SBS‘s ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘ revealed an interview that took place with Jinwoon before his trip to Madagascar.

During this interview, he divulged about his painful, yet very memorable past. He began, “I fell into slump for quite a while. After our U.S tour, I developed symptoms similar to depression. I was unable to sleep for about a month and I just wanted to be left alone.”

Luckily, the talented musician was able to use his love for music to get through the difficult period in his life. “I was indulged in music during that time and it helped me get through. With the experience I gained, I plan on writing a lot of songs while I’m in Madagascar.”

We all wish him the best of luck!
