“IRIS 2” is finally on its way and the production company, Taewon Entertainment has confirmed actress Lee Da Hae and actor Jang Hyuk as the lead roles for the drama!
Prior to this drama, the two have played love interests on KBS‘ “Chuno“. For “IRIS 2″, Jang Hyuk will take on the role of ‘Yu Geon’, a TF-A team leader for South Korea’s National Security Service, who is in charge of handling the events with IRIS and ‘Baek San’ (once again played by Kim Young Chul). Lee Da Hae will play the TF-A team agent, ‘Ji Su Yeon’, a gold medalist in pistol shooting who has an unusual way of carrying out her missions and a strange personality.
Taewon Entertainment has also confirmed that Kim Young Chul, Kim Sung Woo (who played the North Korean agent ‘Park Chul Young’ in both “IRIS” and “ATHENA: Goddess of War“), and Kim Min Jong (who played ‘Kim Ki Soo’, a former North Korean intelligence agent that defects to South Korea, in “ATHENA: Goddess of War”) will also join the cast.
KARA’s Jiyoung, BEAST’s Doojoon, and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon are also said to be cast as agents in the drama as agents, but supposedly none of them have accepted any offers yet. Also, Daniel Henney is supposedly considering a role in the drama.
“IRIS 2″, which is tentatively slated to begin in February 2013, is said to focus on Baek San’s arrest and IRIS.
So, so, so freaking excited for this drama!!! Can’t wait for more details!!!
