Cube Entertainment’s rookie group, BTOB recently returned with their new song “WOW” and it looks like they’ve caught the eye of American singer-songwriter, producer Teddy Riley!

On September 25th, Teddy, who is the man behind the creation of the New Jack Swing, caught sight of BTOB’s MV and tweeted, “BTOB -WOW M/V …SEE THIS IS WHAT NEW JACK SWING DO TO KPOP… WHOEVER PRODUCED THIS, I HAVE BITE MARKS”

He continued to dish out compliments to the group in response to Melodies’ tweets including “Get them to me and I will. They took the chance on New Jack Swing and I love it. Go BTOB!!! YOU ARE SCHOLARS!!! GOOD JOB!!!!” in response to a fan asking him to work with BTOB in the future.

Another fan informed him that the group was new to Kpop and said they were awesome. Teddy responded, “Yes I see and hear it…they have storng heart and they’re not afraid to try New Jack. MICHAEL JACKSON IS PROUD!!!”

Upon seeing Teddy’s tweets, Peniel of BTOB tweeted, “Hello mr. Riley this is Peniel of BTOB. Thank you for tweeting about us and complimenting us. We feel honored that you tweeted about us :P we are currently promoting “WOW” in Korea and we will try harder to get the New Jack Swing popular in Korea. If the opportunity presents itself we would love to work with you in the future.”

He responded to Peniel and wrote, “Yesir!!! You guys rock out wit the NJS bigtime!!! Let’s go I’m ready!!! The party aint’ over!!!”

Such an amazing compliment from the creator of New Jack Swing! Who knows maybe we really will see a BTOB-Teddy Riley collaboration sometime in the future.
