We all know that singer PSY is getting worldwide attention for Gangnam Style, but many other K-Pop songs have potential to hit mainstream in America. With many different groups planning to debut in America, will K-Pop in be finally recognized? Here are some K-Pop songs that have potential to go mainstream in America:
1. 2NE1 - I Don’t Care
It’s a simple song about getting revenge on a break up with a really catchy melody. Many people can also connect with the lyrics with this song while clapping along with the addicting beat.
2. Brian Joo - Domino
This song is actually already released in English also, and has a really American vibe coming from it.
3. Wonder Girls - Nobody
We know this song was the first K-Pop song to reach the Billboard’s top 100, but if it gets reintroduced again, this song will be an even bigger hit.
4. 2PM - Hands Up
Hands Up is a great party song with a catchy chorus.
5. T-Ara - I Go Crazy Because of You
Great, catchy, and upbeat song overall.
6. Big Bang - Fantastic Baby
A crazy tune that gets people breaking free and partying. Plus, “boom shakalaka” literally becomes part of your daily vocabulary.

i like these songs but i dont agree with this list except for fantastic baby...songs like High High and Hands up (2PM) would have better success here in the states...the other ones would be appealing to most americans

I think U-KISS’ stop girl has mainstream appeal too^^ The beat and sound feels very modern and western, and there’s a lot of English (not Engrish) sewn throughout that makes it so catchy! I definitely think it’ll be something Americans like.
I know I LOVE all these songs:D

not to offend, but majority of PSY’s international attention is based on the video, not the song :/

I totally agree with the list. But if I’m not wrong, wasn’t it the English version of nobody that made it on billboard? It’s already been relaxed so many times. And definitely Brian Joo would do well, being from the US and all. Plus his rnb style is appealing.
as for I Don’t Care, I really liked the raggae version.
