He is loved worldwide for his unique raps and incredible dancing skills, but TVXQ‘s Yunho almost never made his name known due to medical problems.
Together with fellow member Changmin, the pair tried to execute a replay lecture while filming the most recent episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Do Dream‘. Yunho’s lecture was entitled, ‘Dreams do not abandon you‘, with which he included, “My maternal family comes from a singing background. I inherited those skills and received awards at vocal competitions.” Sadly, he developed an illness, which traps hormones in the tonsils, and a bump grew on his vocal cords and neck.
Even though the bump prevented Yunho from singing, and even talking normally, he ignored tis and worked extremely hard to become a member of TVXQ, despite the pain. He added, “After our debut, I was preparing for our concert. But the area on my neck where I got surgery became problematic again. I got infections in my neck, mouth, and nose, a total of 40-50 places. The company tried to prevent me from doing it, but I wanted to do my best on stage. There was a great chance that my neck could become worse, but I got on stage after numbing it.”
That’s pure passion, right there!
