On the Chuseok special of SBS‘ ‘Laws Of The jungle WRainbow’s Woori surprised viewers by getting friendly with a bat.

The October 1st broadcast of the special featured the ‘W’ (’Women’) tribe. On the show the cast members were shown hunting wild bats, since they are an important protein for the natives of Malekula Island.

The night before the traps had been set, the next morning the natives woke up to check how many bats had been caught. Woori who was fascinated stated, “I made eye contact [with a bat]. It’s cute. It looks like a bear cub.”

As the natives removed the bats from the traps, it could be seen that they were afraid from the bats, but Woori bravely started to pet a bat. Comedian Jung Juri also touched the bat, commenting, “It’s clawing my hand with its nails.”

Actress Jang Shin Young kept her distance, as she watched from afar, stating, “I’m afraid of anything that resembles mice.” As a joke the natives brought a bat close to her cheek, which caused her to scream and run away. She later revealed in her interview, “I was surprised. So I really did cry. Now that I think about it, it was very dumb of me.”

Woori was the total opposite, she immediately got friendly with the bat, even spreading it’s wings, she revealed, “I was actually the most excited about the bats. I wanted to try one. I’ve been told they taste like smoked ham.”

Would you be so friendly with a bat?
