U-Kiss Eli is fed up with haters and has expressed his thoughts on Twitter. He’s particularly upset at fans who feel like they can say anything without impacting the feelings of idols.

I think it’s pretty stupid of him to do this. If you’re an idol, you should accept that you’ll have fans and haters. Real life too. The best thing to do is to pay no attention to anyone trying to rain on your parade. If you can’t handle this hate, you probably shouldn’t be an idol.

What I failed to communicate ineffectively is that I think he should’ve just not pay them any attention. Haters want attention and those tweets feed their attention.

To anyone confused with this being a news or an opinion piece—it’s just my opinion. It’s my site, if you don’t like it you can leave.

That is a bad attitude to have. If this is “your” site, you have nothing without everyone else who comes here, reads and contributes. Not saying you need to bend over backwards for every whiny little complaint people have, but keeping firm against a silly request or complain is not the same thing as throwing a sentence like that in everyone’s face.

what happened to him? any haters hurt him?
hope he is okay..

Like two “fans” on twitter were tweeting about his “size” if you know what I mean and how Red Bull is the cause of it or something and how apparently he is gay and all that.

Um, yeah, no. I’m going to agree with SooDeeAh and others who agreed that one’s opinion should not be included in an informative article. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have an opinion; what I’m saying is that you should not include your own opinion on an informative article. Because that’s what it is: an informative article. Opinions are not “informative.”

Anyway, onto the main topic of this article. I’m glad that Eli stood up for himself. Really, I am, that he stood up for himself and many others. He’s a person, too, and people get fed up all the time. He just reached his limits.

However, I am also very unsure of this. He’s addressing the haters, which usually get their enjoyment from reactions. Perhaps he’s adding gas to the flame…

i don’t like the last clause of this article.

“I think it’s pretty stupid of him to do this. If you’re an idol, you should accept that you’ll have fans and haters. Real life too. The best thing to do is to pay no attention to anyone trying to rain on your parade. If you can’t handle this hate, you probably shouldn’t be an idol.”

Sorry, but it makes the site look bad by putting the authors own opinion (bias) on an informative article. If you wanted to state your opinions, please either use the comments section or write and argumentive article.  xx.

I wonder what happened… :(
Agree with Eli!

That’s right Eli, put them in their places. He handled it well and I don’t think it was stupid of him. There’s a limit to how much a person can take.

what you said is easier said than done. yup it’s better if he just ignored it, but how can he really? he’s been an idol for how many years already, and i think, he’s been silent until now. maybe he got more haters aftersaying this, and i hope, he doesn’t care.

Well I’m going to support Eli Hyung for doing that… He has his own life, some haters are crossing the line already.. Good thing for Eli Hyung that he has a Freedom of Speech FIGHTING!!

woah cool, i think he said it all right, im going to support him!!

I think as someone who is publishing stories here so other can be informed of news, should not really show how they actually feel in these situation. I agree that everybody has freedom of speech but not when you are trying to report something, let alone news. Eli did awesome by saying what is on his mind because if one just let things become bottled up it can get worse in the end

I like how he actually said that to haters. Why the heck would people hate him when he didn’t do anything to them!?

Because haters will always be there, doesn’t make it right for people to hate… but maybe Eli calling out haters could make him look bad because people always take things way out of context but I think he had the right to say that. A lot of people think it’s okay to say bad things about idols because they have an image to uphold, so I’m guessing he meant people say they’re insincere of fake, but idols are people too. Words do hurt and no one should have to put up with it, idol or not.

woooo he called out all em haters !!! ELI OPPA FIGHTING !! <3

Ugh why can’t everyone just love each other?
Eli nice way to approach this matter.
People need to stop being mean just because they are Jelly, that’s what haters look like to me, people who are just jealous of others and feel the need to express that by being rude and hateful.

The last sentence was pretty.. not sensible. The fact that everyone has haters is a problem that everyone needs to speak out on and fight for. Just because right now there are haters doesn’t mean that fact can’t change!

I disagree strongly with the last comment. Like others have said, idols are humans too and sometimes they just get fed up with it so they voice their opinion. Here’s an example:
Let’s say you were a boss and you had employees. Being a boss means that you will eventually have to deal with the employees that will say bad things about you (haters if you will) but you know this going into it. So you voice your opinion about how you feel about these “haters”, but that doesn’t mean you want to quit being a boss.
Sometimes the nasty comments can become too much for even an idol to handle and like I said before believe it or not they are humans too and have just as every bit of rights as the rest of us do. Adding on a note, don’t forget he was born and raised in America so we Americans learn how to voice our own opinions at a very young age.
More power to you Eli oppa!!

well said ELI!!!

Still saddens me that haters continue to do this to idol singers.  I agree that Eli took a good approach to take care of this problem.  Idols are people don’t forget.

Considering how some other idols have dealt with haters, I think Eli did a fine job of addressing the issue while giving them nothing that they can really attack him for. I’m a proud noona-fan.

All I can say is that’s our Eli smile

v (the comment below) i completely agree. kpop idols arent built of iron, their heart is emotional and are very fragile, also because that they trained for a long time and they had ups and downs, does the writer really think that kpop idols shouldnt talk about haters? ofc they accept haters, but if the haters are affecting them, they cant just ignore it. nowadays even little words can hurt big people.

Well I think its pretty stupid of the person that made this article to say something like this, kpop idols are normal people just like everyone and have the right to express their feelings like everybody else, at least he is being polite, unlike many “fans” out there, maybe you are just a hater yourself and got affected by his words.
