2PM’s Junsu has made an announce on twitter…he is no longer “Junsu”, but “Min Jun“.

On October 16th, Junsu tweeted, “Because of a family matter, it was decided to change my name.”

He then announced, “Official stage name will be “JUN.K” as it was before but the real name has changed to “MIN-JUN”. Junsu will no longer be used in the future.”

The message was also tweeted in Japanese and Korean, and no other explanation was given. What do you think of his new name, Minjun?

I like name. But was is the Family Matter if this is really the situation?


This wasn’t a joke? When I first heard it I thought he was just being silly. Changing a name is a huge thing, so I’m curious as to way. To be honest I don’t know a lot about 2pm outside of Nickhun and Junsu has always been TVXQ/JYJ to me. But still if Junsu is his birth name, then it’s really sad he has to change it.

I’m kind of sad since I’m used to calling him junsu I don’t think I’ll be able to adjust anytime soon. -_- But I thought it was funny when JB tweeted back to him saying Minjun hyung. :D


I like the new name.  But I wonder what kind of situation would have him changing his name.
