Girl’s Day’s Jihae has decided to leave the group for personal reasons, leaving the rest of the girls to promote as a four-member unit.

Girl’s Day’s agency, Dream T Entertainment, stated “Due to personal reasons, Jihae has left the group prior to Girl’s Day’s upcoming promotions with the release of their next album on October 26th. For the time being, Sojin, Minah, Yura, and Hyeri will promote as a four-member group.”

The agency continued, “Jihae’s decision was said to come after a long period of contemplation. One of the reasons for her departure is because she wants to focus on her studies. On Jihae’s future, Jihae and the agency will be discussing various options.”

Jihae is currently studying as a dance major in Sungkyunkwan University. As for Girl’s Day, they will be releasing their fifth digital single, “Don’t Forget Me” on October 26th.

That is sad to hear but her studies for dance does seem important. I hope she does come back.

It’s unfortunate she had to leave, but good luck to the rest of Girls Day. Unfortunately the only one I know is Minah.
