K-Pop is spreading. There’s no doubt about that. And FORBES met up with the fierce idol group 2NE1 to talk about who they are, how they got started, and the future of K-Pop.
Back in August, the ladies traveled the Newark, New Jersey for their New Evolution Global Tour and afterwards popped in at FORBES’ New York headquarters for a quick interview with Zack O’Malley Greenburg. The article titled, “Bigger than Psy: 2NE1 And the Future of K-Pop” talks about how 2NE1 was formed and became such a big name in K-Pop. Also discussing how their music has spread throughout the world. Of course, the articles doesn’t forget to mention Psy and his recent success with “Gangnam Style“. However for K-pop in general the major issue has been the language barrier, but YouTube has helped break down those barriers.
Additionally the girls were asked about their upcoming plans for an English-language album and talked about working with Will.i.am.
