On the October 9th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s ‘Yeo Yoo Man Man‘, Shinhwa’s Junjin revealed his longing for his mother while growing up.

On the episode, Junjin shed tears when he revealed, “I wanted to become a singer to find my mother.”

Junjin appeared as a surprise guest to support his father who was featured on the episode. During the episode Junjin shared, “As I grew older, I kind of hated my father and resented him as I thought, ‘Why do I have to live in this kind of environment?’”

He continued saying, “I lived with my grandmother instead of my mother. No matter how much my grandmother acted like my mother, my desperate desire for my mother became a life long wish.”

His eyes started to shine because of the tears welling up as he shared, ”I started off as a choreographer, but I became a singer after I saw H.O.T. on TV and thought, ‘If I appear on TV, maybe I will be able to find my mother.’”

Eventually, thanks to the help of his father’s third wife, he became reconnected with his biological mother.
