On October 30th, Super Junior’s Leeteuk will be enlisting in the army, with this he is leaving his spot as the leader for 2 years.

In a recent interview Leeteuk revealed that time really does fly, he said, “Just a few days ago, I told Donghae, ‘There’s only 13 days left’, and Donghae said, ‘Hyung, it’s 12 days.’ And now there’s about a week.” He also said that the world looks different depending on how you look at it, revealing that he is trying to stay optimistic.

Even though two members of Super Junior have already enlisted, Kangin who already returned and Heechul who is still carrying out his enlistement, there is a difference between them and Leeteuk, since he has been the team’s center as the leader.

When he was asked who would take over his place as leader, he answered, “The members are so good that I’m just going to leave. If I give the spot to someone else and he does it so well, I’m going to have no place to stand when I come back. I’m going to tell them that I trust them and just go. I’m a bit worried, of course. The worst case scenario would be seeing the team weaken when I’m gone. I think.. I think that’d be hard. But I trust the members. I believe they’ll do well.”

I can’t wait for these two years to be over so that the great leader back!
