There’s not really much dispute that just as the songs are infectious and too catchy not to sing along too, KPOP dances are much too cool not to get into the groove to. If you’re on the beginner’s side like myself however, it’s always a good idea to start from simpler dances and move onto harder ones - we’re talking simple enough for a zombie!
NEVERLAND by U-Kiss
The dance incorporates a lot of upper body movements with some kicking thrown in - great for those who are just going into dancing!
Gee by SNSD
Whilst SNSD are known for slightly trickier dances (like Run Devil Run) in a large group, it’s not impossible to dance like them. Gee is arguably one of their easiest dances and a super catchy song at the same time!
Heartbeat by 2PM
I find that 2PM’s dances aren’t too hard to follow on average and Heartbeat seems to have been made especially for zombies!
Let’s Go Party by 2NE1
Not only is this dance easy to follow, but as a bonus, you also look pretty awesome whilst doing it!
Abracadabra by Brown Eyed Girls
Finger clicking and wavy arm movements make the Abracadabra dance look complicated when in reality, it really isn’t so! You can look like a great dancer if you practice these relatively simple moves.
Beautiful Target by B1A4
Beautiful Target focuses on arm movements (plus plenty of jumping) and seems great if you want a dancing workout!
NU ABO by f(x)
I usually find f(x)’s dances harder to follow on average but NU ABO is an exception! Even a novice like me can do it.
Fiction by BEAST
Whilst the more advanced rapid foot movements could take a while to master, the Fiction dance as a whole is a good dance to start getting more advanced once you’ve taken the first baby steps.
Alone by SISTAR
There’s plenty of slower movements in SISTAR’s Alone dance and it makes the dancer look elegant, something all of us would want to look like in a dance!
Sorry Sorry by Super Junior
It’d be pretty hard to find a KPOP fan who hasn’t danced to at least part of Sorry Sorry before - it’s possibly one of if not the most well known KPOP dances out there!
A word of hope for all - if I (a bad dancer who could very much be likened to a zombie) can follow these dances, anybody can! There’s plenty of help out there too - I enjoy learning from KPopDanceTutorials and NeiMindFreak. With practice and help, I reckon most people could transform from looking like dancing zombies to KPOP dancers!
