We’re so used to seeing KPOP idols at their best – hair done, makeup perfect and amazing outfits. This sometimes causes quite a shock when we see anything below that standard. Have a look at these idols who were caught at a less-than-appropriate time.

As a part of SNSD, Sunny always looks perfectly fabulous, but every girl needs a day off. Looking rather pale and in need of a good rest, she didn’t look as stunning as usual in a plain white shirt and a ponytail.

Even guys can look unrecognizable without their makeup. Super Junior’s Kyuhyun can be seen showing his usually hidden dark circles. Still, despite looking super exhausted, his handsome face makes up for it.

The first thing that most people notice when they see Kara’s Nicole is her adorable eye smile and her light complexion. Without her cover-up and eye makeup, however, her most attractive features aren’t as flattering. At least she’s got a smile on her face!

Ever had a day where you just didn’t feel like combing your hair or slapping on some makeup? Even the baddest most fierce female herself, CL of 2NE1, has had days like these. Let’s just say that she’s looked better!

Let’s face it: nobody looks exceptionally beautiful after hours of training or exercise, not even SNSD’s Jessica. She looks a lot more natural and innocent than the image we’re used to seeing, and almost unrecognizable!

The third SNSD member on this list is the queen of eye smiles, Fany Fany Tiffany. Unfortunately, in this unflattering shot, her eye smile is almost non-existent. While her skin is almost flawless, her eyes seem like they just want to shut for at least a week. What a difference makeup can make.

Big Bang’s Taeyang is not afraid to show his pre-face, as I call it. He looks pretty content showing off his stubble, panda eyes and birthmark. This look may not be the clean-cut image that fans know and love, but it is super manly and almost intimidating.

While none of these people look horrible, it is a wakeup call for people that believe that these KPOP idols are perfect and have glamorous, “anime eyes” all day long. I like these pictures, though. They show a more human side to these artists.
